What Catamaran Radar is

Catamaran Radar is an information service provided by WE SUCCESS Consulting GmbH. We evaluate publicly accessible listings of used catamarans, calculate the expected costs up to readiness for use and classify models and boats according to fixed, traceable rules.

What Catamaran Radar is not

Not a survey report. Our reports replace neither an inspection nor a survey by a qualified surveyor on the boat.
No legal, tax or financial advice. Notes on VAT, customs, registration or financing are general information; in individual cases, professionals decide.
No broker and no seller. We do not broker boats, receive no commission and have no business relationship with shipyards, dealers and portals.

Where the data comes from

The details on the boats come from listings that sellers have published on portals and dealer pages. We check them for contradictions and merge boats listed twice, but we cannot verify them on site. Prices, equipment, berth and availability can change at any time. The original listing and the seller's information are always authoritative.

Role of the AI

also apply. A language model reads your purchase request and formulates follow-up questions and the accompanying text of our e-mail. Selection, ranking, costs and risks are calculated by our assessment according to fixed rules – not by the language model. All details that the language model takes from your text are presented to you for confirmation. Texts in English, French and Spanish are machine-translated from the German version.

Free model suggestion

The model suggestion on the website shows models that, according to our assessment, match the details you provided, with a brief assessment and rounded key figures as at the data date. It is a first orientation, not a pre-purchase review of a specific boat. There is no entitlement to a specific suggestion. We reserve the right to reject requests that are clearly abusive.

Shortlist

For each boat, the shortlist states what, in our assessment, speaks in favour of the boat. It is not a complete assessment: we only examine risks, known model weaknesses, recalls and reports from other owners in the pre-purchase review of the respective boat. Boats of other models that we add so that the shortlist contains ten listings are marked.

Liability

(1) We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, under the Product Liability Act and to the extent of any warranty expressly assumed by us.

(2) In the event of a slightly negligent breach of a material contractual obligation, our liability is limited to the damage typical for the contract and foreseeable at the time of conclusion of the contract. Material contractual obligations are obligations whose fulfilment is essential to the proper performance of the contract and on whose compliance you may regularly rely – here in particular the preparation of the report according to the described rules from the data available as of the date of the report.

(3) Otherwise, liability for slight negligence is excluded.

(4) We do not warrant the accuracy of the details that sellers, brokers and portals provide in their listings. We adopt these details, check them for contradictions, but cannot verify them on the boat.

(5) The limitations of liability also apply to our employees and vicarious agents.

Data status

Every report states the date on which the listing and model data were evaluated. Listings change continuously; after 30 days you should no longer use a report without a new comparison with the original listing.

Your next step

Before a purchase decision: ask the seller questions, have documents (ownership, VAT, registration, maintenance) checked, view the boat and have it surveyed by an independent surveyor – including a sea trial and inspection ashore.

Brands and sources

We name shipyard, model and portal names only to identify boats and sources. They are trademarks of their owners; there is no connection to them. Image credits are given with the respective image. Photos from listings show the respective boat offered; the rights to them lie with the provider or photographer. If a rights holder does not wish a photo to appear with us, a notice to info@we-success.de; we will remove it.

Links to listings

We link to listings on third-party portals and websites. The respective providers are responsible for their content, details and availability; we do not adopt them as our own. The links carry an origin identifier ("we-cat.ai"); we do not pass on personal data with them. What a portal collects when it is accessed is governed by its privacy policy.

Use of the reports

Reports are intended for your personal purchase decision. You may store them, print them and pass them on to persons advising you on this decision (e.g. surveyors, partners). Publication or commercial distribution requires our consent.
