Privacy policy

Draft – will be reviewed by a lawyer before the paid offer launches.

1. Controller

WE SUCCESS Consulting GmbH, represented by Andreas Pelzner (Managing Director)
Wachaustr. 11, 70469 Stuttgart
Email: info@we-success.de

We have not appointed a data protection officer; we are not legally obliged to do so (Section 38 BDSG).

2. Principles

We process personal data only to the extent necessary to operate this website and to produce the reports you request. We do not sell data, we do not advertise, we do not use analytics tools and we do not create user profiles.

3. Accessing the website

Catamaran Radar is reachable at we-cat.ai and, for the time being, in parallel also at we-success.ai. The website runs on a server that we operate at IONOS SE, Elgendorfer Str. 57, 56410 Montabaur (data centre Berlin); IONOS acts for us as a processor under Art. 28 GDPR. The connection is encrypted (HTTPS). We process your orders on our own systems of WE SUCCESS Consulting GmbH in Germany, which is connected to this server via an encrypted connection.

Our own server logs the date and time, the page accessed and the status code in order to find errors and prevent misuse. We delete these logs after no more than 14 days. To limit requests (protection against bulk requests) we use the IP address in working memory for no more than one hour; together with a request we store it only in pseudonymised form as a check value with a secret key, and we delete this together with the request.

The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interest is secure, stable operation protected against misuse.

4. Model suggestion and order

For the free model suggestion, we process the description of your plan and your answers to the follow-up questions (e.g. budget, number of cabins, cruising plans) in order to identify suitable models and display them to you on the page. We do not need an e-mail address for this. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (service requested by you).

If you order a shortlist or a pre-purchase review, we process

  • the description of your purchase intention, your answers to the follow-up questions, the selected models or the link to the listing,
  • your e-mail address,
  • the selected language as well as the time and version of the user notices and terms and conditions to which you have consented.

The purpose is to produce the reports you have ordered and to send them to you by e-mail. We store the consent data in order to be able to prove which version applied to your order. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (contract). Without an e-mail address, we cannot send you a report.

You confirm your e-mail address via a link (double opt-in) so that no one can enter other people's addresses. We delete unconfirmed requests after 48 hours, and all other requests together with the e-mail address, the report produced and the verification log after 30 days, unless statutory retention obligations (e.g. for invoices) prevent this. We do not send you advertising.

Please do not enter names, addresses, telephone numbers or information about your health in the free-text field – we do not need them to select a boat.

5. Sending e-mails

We send confirmation and report emails from the address shop@we-cat.ai via our mail server at Host Europe GmbH, Cologne in Germany, which acts for us as a processor under Art. 28 GDPR. Our emails contain no tracking pixels and no tracking links.

6. AI service providers

So that we can ask suitable follow-up questions, convert what you are looking to buy into a search profile and formulate the accompanying text of the e-mail, we transmit the text of your purchase request, your answers and the facts of the selected boats to Anthropic (Anthropic PBC, 548 Market St., San Francisco, CA 94104, USA). We do not transmit your e-mail address or other contact details. Anthropic processes the data as a processor under Art. 28 GDPR; the transfer to the USA relies on the EU Commission's standard contractual clauses, which form part of Anthropic's data processing agreement. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.

To translate our website and report texts into other languages we also use DeepSeek (Hangzhou DeepSeek Artificial Intelligence Co., Ltd., People's Republic of China). DeepSeek receives only fixed texts of the website and details of boats from public listings – no details from your request and no data relating to you.

Selection, ranking, costs and risks are calculated by our assessment according to fixed rules, not by the language model. There is no automated decision that produces legal effects concerning you or similarly significantly affects you (Art. 22 GDPR).

7. Cookies, browser storage and external content

We use no cookies and no analytics or tracking tools. We deliver fonts, images and scripts ourselves; no third-party content is loaded. For search engines and link previews, the website contains a sitemap, structured data and a preview image (Open Graph). The preview image is hosted on our server; if you share a link, the relevant service (e.g. a messenger) retrieves the preview from there and its own privacy notices apply to it. These details do not contain any personal data. Your browser temporarily stores your entries in the questionnaire locally (session storage) until you close the window; this is strictly necessary for the questionnaire you have requested (§ 25(2) No. 2 TDDDG). Links to portals and listings lead to external sites, to which their privacy notices apply.

8. Recipients

Personal data is received only by the service providers named above (IONOS, Host Europe, Anthropic), in each case for the purpose described. No data is passed on to sellers, brokers, portals or shipyards.

9. Your rights

You have the right to access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18) and data portability (Art. 20). A message to info@we-success.de is sufficient.

Right to object: You may object at any time, on grounds relating to your particular situation, to processing based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (Section 3) (Art. 21 GDPR).

You may also lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, in particular in the country where you reside. The authority responsible for us is Der Landesbeauftragte für den Datenschutz und die Informationsfreiheit Baden-Württemberg, Lautenschlagerstraße 20, 70173 Stuttgart.

10. Changes

We will update this statement if our services, our service providers or the legal situation change. The version published here at the relevant time applies.
